Abby Foote appointed to TVNZ Board

Broadcasting Minister Amy Adams has today announced the appointment of Abby Foote to the Board of Television New Zealand (TVNZ).

“Ms Foote is a Christchurch-based professional director with a background in law and accountancy. Her executive career was with major corporates, both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom,” says Ms Adams.

“Ms Foote has particular skills in audit and risk governance that will supplement the commercial strength of the TVNZ Board.”

Her current directorships include Z Energy, Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), Te Papa, Local Government Funding Agency (LGFA) and BNZ Life Insurance Ltd.

Ms Foote’s term begins on 1 November and will continue until 31 October 2019.

Biography:

Abigail (Abby) Foote was CEO of online mortgage broking firm, Fundit, from 2006-2008 and has held senior positions within PHARMAC and Telecom. She is now a professional director. Her current directorships include Z Energy, Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), Te Papa, Local Government Funding Agency (LGFA), BNZ Life Insurance Ltd, and she is Chair of the Board of Cathedral Grammar School. Former roles held include director of Transpower and a Gambling Commissioner.
