Thank you for the invitation to speak at your 2000 Hospitality Showcase this evening. Looking at your programme you have obviously had an interesting time.

On behalf of the Prime Minister Helen Clark, I am delighted to be here today.

The Government has been very impressed by Graeme Dingle's enthusiastic promotion of Project K.

¡§There is nothing good to be had in the country, or if there is, they will not let you have it.¡¨

We are here today to officially open this new building. It is an excellent new facility and it is a credit to all those who have been involved in the project.

I would like to thank the Gambling Studies Institute and the Compulsive Gambling Society for the invitation to provide the keynote address to this forum. It is of course a particular pleasure for me because Taupo is my electorate.
