Youth Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta is praising the contribution of volunteers to the success of the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Youth Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta says the success of more people at this year’s Manukau City Council Industry Training Graduation again highlights the importance of the Labour-led government’s investment in industry training.

“The new school curriculum will provide leadership for young people’s education in the 21st century,” said Youth Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta.

“Congratulations to YHA Gisborne in being awarded the 2000th Qualmark licence,” said Youth Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta.

Her comments follow the Gisborne-based backpacker hostel receiving the Qualmark licence.

Young people will benefit thanks to the hard work of caregivers, said Youth Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta. “Caregivers play a vital part, especially with the help they provide young people,” said Nanaia Mahuta.
