I am absolutely delighted to be with you today, at this the third national Carers Conference.

Mr Speaker, I move that the Climate Change Response (Moderated Emissions Trading) Amendment Bill now be read a first time.

It gives me great pleasure to be here today to launch The Energy Spot campaign.

The Energy Spot is a name I expect we will become very familiar with in the next year.

Good morning everyone.  It's a pleasure to be here today at the NZ Marine Transport Association's annual conference.

Good afternoon and thank you for the opportunity to join you here today.

I welcome this opportunity to speak today and thank the Academy for hosting today's meeting.

There are three areas I would like canvass today in advance of general discussion.
