It's the only realistic path for us and Labour will develop tools for central and local government to test their development policies.

Good morning, it's great to be here in Dunedin to korero with you at this hui. You have asked me to talk about how I see public health and health promotion addresing the issues that I deal with as an Associate Minister of Health.

“If we can apply our creativity to using our resources more carefully and implementing triple bottom line reporting New Zealanders could be way ahead of other countries.

It is a genuine honour to be at this important symposium today.

Good evening and thank you for the opportunity to share some thoughts with you as Minister of Immigration. It is not quite three years since I took up responsibility for this portfolio, however it has only been over recent months that there has been a significant focus on immigration. Unfortunately it has been driven by the anti-immigration sentiment whipped up by NZ First in its attempt to avoid political oblivion - it worked in 1996, so why not 2002?
