I’m delighted to address your annual conference today, particularly since, as some of you may be aware, I have taken an active interest in this subject for some time.

Madam Speaker, I move that the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Amendment Bill (No. 2) be now read a first time.

At the appropriate time I intend to move that the Bill be referred to the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee for consideration, and that the committee present its final report on or before 12 May 2008.

The Bill continues this government’s commitment to a fair and sustainable ACC scheme for reducing the incidence and impact of personal injury.

These awards are designed to highlight best practice in the field of community-based injury prevention and safety promotion.

Speech to gatherings in Wellington and Christchurch to commemorate Workers' Memorial Day.

ACC intends to distribute free copies of this booklet directly to claimants who are entitled to attendant care.

Celebrates the winning entries of ACC's 'Look Out For Each Other' school injury prevention competition.
