New Zealand's third oldest courthouse has been re-opened after an $827,000 refurbishment.

In your work in restorative justice you demonstrate a commitment to your community in a very real way. You are working towards a more healthy community empowered to deal with the effects of offending.

It is my privilege today to formally open this wonderfully refurbished building, which has been so important to the development of the law in New Zealand, and is the focus of so much interest for the people of Dunedin.

It is a privilege for me as the new Minister for Courts to be invited to open the new Collections Call Centre here in Wellington.
