Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism John Key today revealed the tourism industry will receive $30 million in new funding for 2010/11 in next week's Budget.

I want to do two things this morning.

First, I am going to announce the research and science component of next week's Budget.

Prime Minister John Key has announced that research, science and technology will be one of the major recipients of new funding in Budget 2010.

Social Development Minister Paula Bennett says the social sector will benefit directly from the Government's investment in Whanau Ora.

Prime Minister John Key today announced that Whanau Ora will receive $134.3 million in funding over the next four years, as Budget 2010 invests in families.
