Jim Anderton, Minister of Customs, today announced the appointment of a Customs Officer to assist East Coast, Manawatu, Hawke’s Bay and Taupo businesses which are importing and exporting.

The Government is to reduce the subsidy for imported goods by $15 million a year, Acting Customs Minister Jim Anderton announced today.

“Businesses in Tauranga and regions all over New Zealand are to get more help with importing and exporting thanks to the Customs Service’s new FrontLine programme,” Acting Customs Minister Jim Anderton said today.
