Te Rarawa and Crown sign Terms of Negotiation
Treaty of Waitangi NegotiationsTe Rarawa, the largest of the five iwi in the Far North, and the Crown will sign Terms of Negotiation on Thursday, 5 December.
The signing will take place at 4.30pm* in the Old Maori Affairs Committee Room, Parliament Buildings.
The Terms of Negotiation set out the ground rules for negotiations, and signal the beginning of the formal talks that will lead to the settlement of Te Rarawa’s historical Treaty of Waitangi claims.
