"No Foundation to Reports Housing NZ to be Sold to Tainui"

Responding to suggestions that Housing New Zealand might be sold to Tainui, Housing Minister Murray Mccully said today that "there was no foundation whatsoever to the reports".

"I have never received any such approach," said Mr McCully, "nor would I ever entertain one."
