The British Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Rt Hon Nick Brown MP, is to visit New Zealand from 1 to 6 August.

During this period he will experience New Zealand agriculture in its many facets through visits to farms, processing facilities and research institutions.

Mr Brown will meet his counterpart, the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control, the Hon John Luxton, the Minister for International Trade, Dr the Hon Lockwood Smith and the Prime Minister.

Also in Wellington, the British Minister will meet representatives of the producer boards and Federated Farmers.
