Decision Of The Court Of Appeal In Trout CaseJustice
The Minister of Justice, Rt Hon D.A.M. Graham, urged Maori to respect the decision of the Court of Appeal in the trout case.
"No one in this country is above the law,'' he said.
Mr Graham said he hoped MP Tariana Turia was wrong when she expressed the belief that Maori would ignore the ruling.
"Ms Turia, as a responsible Member of Parliament and a leader of Maori, knows that the Treaty of Waitangi imposed reciprocal obligations on Maori and non-Maori alike to respect the rule of law. Further information
