Appointment to the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull LibraryInternal Affairs
Internal Affairs Minister Tracey Martin today announced the appointment of Lyn Provost CNZM as Chair of the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library.
The Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library has a statutory role to provide the Minister with independent advice on key matters associated with the operation of the Alexander Turnbull Library.
Lyn Provost will take up her position as Chair on 13 September 2018 along Dr Jock Phillips and Dr Sydney Shep who have been reappointed as members.
Lyn Provost, Dr Phillips and Dr Shep will join the other current member Victoria Passau.
The appointment expands the range of experience, skills and perspectives of members to ensure the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library has the expertise to continue providing high quality advice to the Minister.
Lynette Provost CNZM will bring her experience in public sector leadership as well as further the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library knowledge of information technology and management, culture and heritage, and governance.
Minister Martin acknowledged the work of the former chair, Helen Tait, and Dr Aroha Harris who were not reappointed as members this year. “They both made important contributions during their time on the Guardians Kaitiaki of the Alexander Turnbull Library which is much appreciated,” she said.
