Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, ata marie, tena koutou katoa, good morning. I am very happy to be here with you once again at my fourth China Business Summit.

On Monday, it will be two years since 51 New Zealanders’ lives were taken in the most tragic and horrific way. As I sat and tried to write the words to accompany our presence in this place, I was at a loss.

Today marks a decade since the February 22nd earthquake and the tragic loss of 185 lives. It is a chance for us all to remember those people, and stand with the families, loved ones and friends who grieve them.
